Where are Dogs Permitted in Cranberry Township?

Dogs ARE permitted in the following areas in and around Cranberry Township.

Rotary Dog Park is located within the Cranberry Community Park (off Route 19)

    on Dog Park Dr off of Ernie Mashuda Dr, Cranberry Twp, PA 16066

  • only within the dog park fencing are dogs permitted off leash.

  • dogs are currently NOT permitted in any other areas of the Community Park

 

Brush Creek Trail Extention

To reach the Brush Creek Trail Extension

  • From Freedom Rd. turn south onto Commonwealth Dr.

  • Drive approximately a half mile.

  • Turn left at The Commons at Thorn Hill entrance on east side (Turnpike side) of the road.

  • Turn left at the first parking lot you come to, before the first building.

  • Park at the eastern most end of the parking lot and look for Trail signage.

North Boundary Park 

  •  Leashed dogs (6 ft leashes only) are permitted in North Boundary Park on the paved walking trail loop as well as the  Disc Golf Course/Nature Trail.  

  •  Dogs are NOT permitted on or around the athletic fields.

 

Local business - there are several local businesses and hotels permitting dogs.  Please check with the establishments for further information.

Dogs ARE NOT permitted in any other township park at this time. 

  • Please Note: Brush Creek trail within Graham Park does not allow dogs

Citations will be issued to offenders

Community Pack (Dog) Walk

February 16, 2020

Community Pack Walk at North Boundary Park Upper Pavilion 

1:00pm (weather permitting)  Follow the paw prints and directional signs which show where dogs are permitted within the park.  

Come socialize with other local dog people and their pups. Take a walk with us in the new dog-friendly area of North Boundary Park and brainstorm ideas to continue to make Cranberry more dog-friendly.

Various Dog Training Classes offered through Cranberry Township Parks and Recreation Department.  See the Parks and Recreation class schedule for details (search for 'dog')

Class examples:  Puppy Manners, Dog Obedience, Distractions, Polite behavior in Public Places, Doga-lates.

Bring a flat, quick release or buckle collar (no prong or harness collars); 6-foot leash (no retractable leash); and plenty of training treats.
